DR. SHIARA M. FRANCISQUINI OQUENDO RECOGNIZED BY STRATHMORE'S WHO'S WHO WORLDWIDE PUBLICATION
SYOSSET, NEW YORK – Dr. Shiara M. Francisquini Oquendo, has been included in the Strathmore's Who's Who Worldwide Edition for her outstanding contributions and achievements in the field of research and public policy on September 20, 2011.
ABOUT DR. SHIARA M. FRANCISQUINI OQUENDO
Dr. Oquendo has had 10 years of progressive experience and responsibility with documented success in the areas of training, educational coordination, program design, development and evaluation and public administration at various organizational levels. She is the Founder and Director of The Joel Institute for Research and Public Policy Development, a nonprofit organization dedicated to research and consulting services, and the administration in the of areas of violence prevention, public policy and program design and evaluation and development. Dr. Oquendo is also serving as Senior Consultant with the Wilnelia Merced Forsyth Foundation, Social Service Programs Consultant with the Autonomous Municipal Government of Carolina, Department of Citizens Services and Municipal Centers and Conference Faculty with Ana G. Méndez University Systems School of Professional Studies. Dr. Oquendo has also served as an outreach consultant, an auxiliary administrator, a special assistant and an executive secretary. She has published “Implementing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in Puerto Rico: A Feasibility Study”, an investigation presented to the Food and Nutrition Service, Department of Agriculture, Puerto Rico. Dr. Oquendo received a B.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Puerto Rico in 2000, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology, 2004 and a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, 2011, both from Carlos Albizu's University. She is a member of various organizations and has been the recipient of numerous awards including several Certificates of Recognition and Appreciation, All-American Scholar, United States Achievement Academy, 2003 and Academic Excellence, Carlos Albizu University, also in 2003. Dr. Oquendo currently resides in Carolina, Puerto Rico, where she enjoys dancing.
